Line Sainte-Marie, the ex-wife and mother of Marc Messier’s children, is paying tribute to him and thanking the Quebec public for their words of support following the actor’s death on Tuesday at the age of 78.

“When I wished him Happy Father’s Day this year, I thanked him for our beautiful children. He replied that he was so proud of his three wonderful children,” she wrote in her latest Instagram post.
“Our family is devastated by this sudden departure. We thank the people of Quebec for all the messages of support, which bring us some comfort in this painful mourning that we are going through in private,” she said.
“Thank you Mark for these years of great happiness,” adds the social activist.
Mark Messier and Line Sainte-Marie had two children: Felix and Jeanne. The actor also has a daughter, Gabrielle, born from a previous union. The couple separated in March 2020 after 21 years of marriage.
