The Nissan Tekton is essentially an updated version of the Duster. The world premiere of this SUV took place in India. This means that this SUV is presented here for the first time in the world. The company announced the starting price 10.49 lakhs (Former car dealership) corrected. The new TEKTON is the only SUV in its segment to offer only turbocharged petrol engines across the entire range. Apart from this, it has a strong torque of 280 Nm, built-in Google connectivity, a large 700 liter boot and a host of additional features. The company says that this SUV will be manufactured in India and will also be exported to many countries around the world.
The company has started booking the new Tekton through its dealer network and online platform across India. It will begin shipping nationwide from July 20th. The company says that initially, customers will benefit from a special interest rate when booking 10,000 vehicles. Nissan has chosen Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan as the ambassador of its new SUV.

As we told earlier, the design of this SUV is inspired by the famous Nissan Patrol SUV. It has a wide chrome grille, C-shaped LED headlights, muscular bodywork, roof rails, large wheel arches and a sporty skid plate. At the rear, Synchroflow LED linked lights and black trim give the car a premium look. Additionally, the Majestic Himalayan Crest element in piano black finish gives it a slightly adventurous look. Overall, this SUV will be very powerful and will provide better presence on the road.

Luxurious interior and premium interior
Tekton has gone to great lengths to make the cabin premium. Its interior features leatherette seats, soft-touch materials and Japanese design. It features a tri-color interior with beige, burgundy and rose gold accents. The SUV features dual digital screens, a D-shaped steering wheel, electronic gear shifter and a driver-centric cockpit. The front seats are electrically adjustable, ventilated and have lumbar support, making even long trips comfortable.
Fold all the seats down and you get 700 liters of boot space, which the company claims is the largest in the segment. In addition, the ground clearance of 212 mm, better approach and departure angles make the SUV more comfortable to drive even on bad roads. Two turbo engines, high mileage.
There are two engine options available in the Tekton. The first is a 1-liter turbocharged T160 engine that produces 100 hp. and a torque of 160 Newton meters (Nm). The company claims that this engine option will give a mileage of 19.4 km per liter. The second is a 1.3-liter turbocharged T280 engine that produces 163 hp. and a torque of 280 newton meters (Nm). The company claims that this engine will give a mileage of up to 18.5 km per liter. Both engines feature Mirror Bore Technology borrowed from the Nissan GT-R, which improves engine efficiency and performance. Let us tell you that the Nissan GTR was the company’s best sports car.
The company says this technology reduces friction inside the engine, which improves engine performance and also helps save fuel. This SUV comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission. The new Tekton has a dual drive mode that also offers different mood lighting. The driver can select the driving mode according to his needs.
In addition, a dual-mode steering function is provided. Thanks to this, the steering can be made lighter for more comfortable driving in the city and a little heavier for better control on the highway. The new Tekton comes with a 10.1-inch Tech-Link HD infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It has built-in Google connectivity. With which users can use Google Map, Google Assistance and Google Play. The company says it will allow users to use more than 200 apps. In addition, over 55 connected features are available through the MyNISSAN app.
Talking about features, this SUV comes with a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 48-color ambient lighting, Archimedes 3D surround sound system, wireless charger, smart air purifier, 360-degree camera, power tailgate and a host of smart connected features.
5 Star Security, Amazing Features
Nissan says the new Tekton has been crash tested under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). In which it received a 5-star safety rating. In this crash test, the SUV scored 30.49 out of 32 adult safety scores. For child safety, this SUV received 45.00 points out of a total of 49.00 points. Since this SUV is based on the Renault Duster, it is also given a safety rating on the same basis.
The new Nissan Tekton also takes full care of safety. It comes standard with 6 airbags, over 40 safety features and a high-strength steel body. In addition, more than 17 ADAS functions are available. It includes advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, driver attention warning, traffic sign recognition and 360-degree parking assist.
India is a big opportunity for Nissan. The company says India is being seen as a global export platform. The company already exports its famous Indian-made Nissan Magnite SUV to about 65 countries. Likewise, the new Tekton will be exported to around 50 countries.
