The Rolling Stones are preparing to release a new album Foreign languagestheir 25th LP will be released on Friday, and ahead of its release, Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood appeared at an event in London where they previewed “Ringing Hollow” live.

In the clip, which the band shared on Instagram, Jagger, Wood and keyboardist Matt Clifford perform the song acoustically at a seemingly intimate gathering. “So this just happened in London…” reads the caption for the video. “Mick and Ronnie surprised guests at the special event with a performance of Ringing Hollow from the new Foreign Tongues album – out this Friday!” It is unclear where the event took place in London or why Keith Richards is not performing in the video, but Jagger and Wood were photographed at the album launch event at the St. Clement in London on Wednesday, where their performance was likely to take place.

“Ringing Hollow,” a country rocker reminiscent of Gram Parsons’ influence on the Stones, is Jagger and Keith Richards’ farewell letter to the US. Rolling Stone review, which praised the record, says. “Well, I was madly in love with you/Even before we met,” Jagger sings. “I’ve seen all your films/I’ve smoked your cigarettes.” But now, Jagger sings, “Lady Liberty frowned.”

In anticipation of the album, the band released “Jealous Lover” and “Divine Intervention”, which feature additional guitar by the Cure’s Robert Smith, and were preceded by the singles “In the Stars” and “Rough and Twisted”.

Richards recently suggested that the band might not tour. “I don’t know if tours are possible,” he said. “It’s travel that takes away your strength. But I see the possibility that we will live in a residence somewhere. Wherever it is, in London, New York, Paris, wherever. I will play in Rome! But I don’t understand why they can’t arrange several concerts together in a new format.”
