McGregor has won just one fight in 10 years but has repeatedly said he would “destroy” Holloway, who is also a former UFC featherweight champion.
Holloway, 34, considered one of the best UFC fighters of all time, interacted with McGregor occasionally but spent most of his interactions smiling to himself and shaking his head in amusement.
“He has two belts, I can’t wait to take those two beautiful belts off his hands,” Holloway said.
“He’s doing everything right, he found God, started a family right here, I can’t wait guys.”
McGregor was the world’s highest-paid athlete in 2021, earning just under £128 million in 12 months, but he says he is returning to action “for the love of the game”.
“Honey, I’m home. I put a bed in the gym, I literally lived in the gym,” McGregor said.
“No travel, no traffic, lots of young hungry lions around me trying to be in my place.
“So it was an amazing experience, an amazing camp, that’s all. God bless”.
