'Math Isn't Math Here': Fans Are All Saying the Same Thing as Meghan Markle's Netflix Show 'With Love Meghan' Nominated for Daytime Emmy Award

Meghan Markle’s reality cooking series Love, Meghan has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy, despite Netflix canceling the show earlier this year.

The program, which debuted in March 2025 and ran for two seasons with an additional Christmas special, was nominated Tuesday in the Outstanding Lifestyle category along with shows such as Different Breeds, George to the Rescue, Motherhood and The Wizard of Paws.

For the televised offering, the 44-year-old invited high-profile guests like Chrissy Teigen and Mindy Kaling to share stories, recipes, ideas and tips for entertaining at home.

However, the nomination left royal fans scratching their heads, with many noting that the show failed to top Netflix’s ratings and was canceled after 17 episodes.

“Let’s be clear. Her show didn’t make the top 100 and Netflix didn’t renew it, yet she still got an Emmy nomination? The math doesn’t matter here,” one person at X previously tweeted.

Another chimed in with similar sentiments: “The Outstanding Lifestyle Program.” It’s a joke? Was it universally panned by Netflix and cancelled?”

“The show was #1000 on Netflix’s viewership chart, the whole thing was cringe-worthy, but now it’s nominated for an Emmy?

“How does this nomination process work? If you’re in the bottom 1,000, how do you get nominated?” another person questioned.

However, some X users were delighted by the news, with one fan writing: “Well deserved! Very nice, calming show.”

“This is literally the only reason I will be watching the Emmys this year,” shared a second, while a third added: “Oh Duchess Meghan, what a woman you are! Congratulations on your creative achievement! This was your love song for everything cozy, tasty and beautiful! I’m so happy for you!!!”

Megan’s first season ranked as Netflix’s 383rd most-watched show with 5.3 million views in early 2025, according to the “Love” engagement report released by Netflix.

The second season failed to crack the top 1,000 most-watched games on the platform, ranking 1,224th between July and December 2025.

And its holiday special, “Love, Meghan: A Holiday Celebration,” ranked No. 1,022 overall.

Earlier this year, an insider told People magazine that there are “currently no plans for a third season” of the show. However, future special offers and other one-off projects cannot be ruled out.

Regarding the decision, well-placed sources told journalist Paula Froehlich that Netflix “lost interest” in Meghan’s show after it “failed to gain real traction with viewers.”
