Miramar police say a 21-year-old woman was killed and two men were injured. shot while driving a Lamborghini early Sunday morningand a family member says the deceased woman was a popular influencer in South Florida.
Police identified the deceased victim as 21-year-old Brianne Johnson. The identities of the two wounded men have not been released.
A family member confirmed to CBS News Miami that Johnson, known as “Dreamdoll Brii,” had thousands of people writing on her TikTok account “_itgirlbri” offering her prayers and condolences.
Surveillance video appears to have captured the moment the shooting began.
According to Miramar Police, officers responded to the area of Southwest 27th Court and Sunrise Boulevard to investigate multiple ShotSpotter alarms.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victims were driving a lime green Lamborghini Urus and were heading west toward Sunshine Boulevard when it began to approach the intersection.
As they did so, a white sedan pulled up on the driver’s side and opened fire, injuring three people inside.
Surveillance video shows the car driving through the intersection after the shooting and crashing into a house across the street.
Johnson was killed, and two other victims were taken to Miramar Regional Hospital in critical condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
Neighbors thought the shooting was fireworks
Neighbors told CBS News Miami that because it was the Fourth of July holiday weekend, they initially thought the shots were fireworks until they came out of their homes and saw what happened.
“It’s actually a little nerve-wracking for no reason,” Carlos Regueiro said. “There is no reason for this kind of behavior on the Fourth of July when we are all trying to come together for something as big as 250 years of freedom. So why do things like that?”
