HOLLYWOOD, FL. (WSVN) – A woman who was killed in a shooting in a Lamborghini SUV that then crashed into a house in Miramar has been identified as a local social media influencer as police continue to search for the people behind a string of violent events that left two men hospitalized.
The victims’ luxury car was targeted, chased and then shot at on Sunshine Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, causing the car to crash into a home on Southwest 27th Street, according to Miramar police.
“There were three people in the car; all three were shot, Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss said.
On Monday morning, the family of the deceased woman identified her as 21-year-old Brianna Johnson, also known as influencer DreamDoll Brii.
Surveillance video obtained exclusively by 7News shows the victims’ Lamborghini being followed down the street by a light-colored car. At some point, shots are heard and the car drives away.
“Listening to ShotSpotter, I saw that it was a pretty quick shooting,” Moss said.
The sound of piercing bullets woke up the neighbors.
“My mother actually heard the gunshots; she said she thought it was fireworks at first, but then something felt a little off,” said area resident Cherie Cherr.
Earlier in the night, Johnson’s family said, the three victims had attended a large party at a nearby home.
Relatives said that the trio later stopped at a Shell gas station, where a fight broke out.
After the shooting, surveillance video showed the Lamborghini speeding past a stop sign before detectives say it crashed into a house.
“This is no way to wake up on a Sunday morning,” Moss said.
Paramedics transported Johnson and the two men in the Lamborghini to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition. Johnson died from her injuries.
The quiet Miramar neighborhood quickly turned into a crime scene as investigators combed it for clues.
Investigators are now searching for the getaway car.
“So, thinking about the four-year-old BMW, the dark colors, the white color and this scene going south from here,” the first responder said in the radio broadcast.
Meanwhile, residents of the area are recovering from what happened.
“We’ve never experienced anything like this. Everyone here pretty much knows each other, so it’s a pretty close-knit area,” Cherr said.
