She had a very good season on grass in 2026, winning nine matches on grass that year. Elise Mertens has only six wins in her grass matches this year, but she just beat No. 2 seed Elena Rybakina in straight sets and won the second set very comfortably. She definitely feels confident going into this battle. Two players in good shape meet. Bouzkova has played better in the last few weeks, but Mertens just suffered a big upset, which could affect how she plays this match. It’s not that easy to get through.
