DOJ Investigates Rep. Corey Mills: Sources

The Justice Department is investigating Florida Republican Rep. Corey Mills, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

The investigation is partly about his finances, sources said. Mills’ office did not respond to ABC News’ request for comment.

MS NOW was the first to report the investigation.

Further details of the investigation were not immediately clear.

Mills was elected to the House of Representatives from Florida’s 7th District in 2022 and re-elected in 2024. He serves on the House Armed Services and Intelligence Committees.

Last November, the House Ethics Committee voted to create an investigative subcommittee to look into allegations that Mills violated campaign finance laws and engaged in sexual harassment and dating violence.

Regarding the sexual harassment allegations, Mills issued a statement last year, before the ethics committee’s investigation began, saying, in part, “These allegations are false and misrepresent the nature of my relationships” and he accused his former Florida primary opponent of “using the legal system as a weapon to launch a political attack on the man who beat him.”

This is a developing story. Please stay tuned for updates.
