Many users reported this Sunday morning, July 19, difficulties navigating Instagram, Facebook and Messenger, three social networks belonging to the Meta group.
On the morning of Sunday, July 19, there was a malfunction in the social networks of the Meta group – Instagram, Facebook and Messenger.
“Your account is currently unavailable due to a site problem,” Facebook says when you try to access it.
The DownDetector platform lists “reports of users reporting problems” with these three applications. The group’s networks have not yet reported these access difficulties.
After a surge in messages shortly before 11 a.m., the number of messages from users experiencing difficulties on Meta’s social media began to decrease by the evening. At the start of the day, the number of reported problems was back very close to the pre-outage number.
This is not the first time that these social networks have been disrupted. Facebook ran into trouble last November when it shut down Cloudflare, the backbone of internet security and performance.
