Arsenal Women have signed England midfielder Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich.

The 27-year-old has won eight trophies in four years in the Bundesliga since leaving Manchester City in 2022.

“It’s an incredible feeling and I’m so proud to join Arsenal,” she said.

“This is a huge club that is taking women’s football to the next level and I want to be a part of it. I want to win trophies and grow as a player and this is the right place to do that with the support of an incredible fan base.”

Stanway won a WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups with City before heading to Bayern.

At international level, Stanway has scored 33 goals in 93 caps for England and was instrumental in both of the Lionesses’ historic European Women’s Championship triumphs in 2022 and 2025.

Arsenal manager Renee Slegers said: “Georgia is a brilliant midfielder and we are delighted to have her as an Arsenal player.

“She will add a new dimension to our midfield, bringing experience and strengthening our winning mentality. We’re looking forward to getting started in pre-season with a big campaign ahead of us.”
