A suspected military unit near Russia’s Engels-2 strategic bomber base caught fire and a drone struck a logistics warehouse deep inside Russian territory in Yekaterinburg during an aerial attack from Friday evening to Saturday morning, July 25.
In the Saratov region, local residents reported a large fire in the city of Engels after regional warnings about the threat of drones and missiles.

As the Astra Telegram channel reports with reference to OSINT analysis, the fire occurred in a building on Engels Street 1, which presumably houses a military unit. The burning building is located in close proximity to the Engels-2 military airfield.
The cause of the fire has not been officially confirmed by local authorities, and some residents reported that they did not hear explosions before the fire.
The Engels-2 airbase is the main hub of Russian strategic aviation and recently, on July 16, became the target of an attack by Ukrainian long-range drones. As a result of the attack, as confirmed by satellite images, the Tu-95MS strategic bomber was destroyed.
To the south, OSINT monitoring channels also reported a large, unexplained fire in Rostov.
In Yekaterinburg there is a strike at Wildberry warehouses
In addition to the incident in Engels, the night shelling included a deep blow to the logistics infrastructure.
According to the Exilenova+ monitoring channel, the drone struck a Wildberry warehouse in Yekaterinburg, located about 1,080 miles from the border with Ukraine.
Footage from the scene shows a large plume of smoke rising from the site.

Massive drone swarm reported
The strikes in Engels and Yekaterinburg were part of a wider air campaign targeting several regions of Russia.
The Russian Defense Ministry said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 328 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) between 20:00 Friday and 8:00 Saturday local time.
According to the department, drones were intercepted over 22 regions, including over Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov and Moscow regions, as well as over the Crimean Peninsula and the Sea of Azov.
Due to the air threat, aviation authorities on Friday evening temporarily closed Moscow’s Domodedovo airport for about 30 minutes before lifting the restrictions.
The attack in Yekaterinburg follows a series of recent concentrated attacks on the logistics network of Wildberry, Russia’s largest e-commerce retailer.
On Friday, drones struck civilian infrastructure in St. Petersburg, hitting a Wildberry warehouse in the village of Novosaratovka, where three people were injured, as well as another logistics center in Shushary, which was evacuated before the fire broke out. The company also suspended operations at a sorting center in occupied Simferopol following reports of drone activity.
The campaign against Wildberry also included recent attacks on a distribution center in the Voronezh region and an attempted strike in Kazan.
Previous strikes have already knocked out about 8% of the company’s total warehouse capacity due to damage to facilities in Elektrostal, Kotovsk, Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk.
