Kilian (2-5) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk, failing to record an out, taking the loss and throwing a blown save in Friday’s 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

Kilian has three blown saves this season, with two coming in a six-game span in which he allowed nine runs in 4.2 innings. The pitcher’s impact on the Giants’ final game likely wanes with each bad performance. He now has a 4.74 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 47:18 K:BB through 38 innings this season, converting eight of 11 save chances and adding three holds. Given the Giants’ poor position in the standings, trusting Kylian or the other strikers in the team to give them a consistent chance of making a save is a risky fantasy strategy.
