Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, who went to Karur today to give work assignments to the families of those killed in the Karur stampede, attacked the DMK. A school teacher was suspended after the live telecast of Vijay’s speech at a government school in Krishnarayapuram in Karur district created a sensation.
Education Minister Rajmohan has already said that strict action will be taken if the order that there should be no place for party and political activities in government schools is confirmed.
Except for official programs organized by the government, no party program should be shown to students on school premises. In violation of this order, the Krishnarayapuram Panchayat Union School arbitrarily decided to telecast the program “Tamil Nadu Kazhagam Victory” and show it live to the students. Rajmohan also ordered an immediate and detailed investigation into the incident and suspended Principal Mallika, who was broadcasting the Chief Minister’s non-government program at the school.
