Coles $14 Butter Fried Chicken Now On Sale Nationwide

While many may know how to make a hot plate of butter chicken, Coles has shared a surprising new way to enjoy the takeaway delicacy.

The famous Hot Fried Chicken will now be available in a limited edition Butter Chicken flavor available in stores nationwide starting today.

The $14 Indian Fusion reimagines everyone’s favorite “bachelor bag” with aromatic spices.

Coles launches new hot chook flavor

The supermarket chain says Taste of India has been inspired by the changes taking place in many Australian homes.

Coles research shows three in five Australians are cutting back on takeaways; however, their newest offering means the victim can become a replacement.

“Our hot fried chicken is Coles’ second best-selling product and is affectionately known by many Australians as the ‘bachelor’s bag’, so we’re excited to offer customers a delicious new way to enjoy it,” Coles deli manager Karen O’Conner told news.com.au.

“We know customers love the rich, satisfying taste of butter chicken, so we wanted to bring those familiar flavors to our iconic hot fried chicken in a way that’s quick, convenient and great value for busy weeknight dinners.”

The store encourages customers to add white rice, naan bread and plain yogurt to their meals.

While many Australians have yet to introduce their taste buds, opinions are quickly piling up.

– Is this true or are you joking? – asked a social network user.

Another joked: “Yum.”

“Oh my god YES,” added a third.

The new edition follows the departure of another fried chicken flavor, Peri-Peri, which was quietly discontinued last month.

There are many unique twists on the dinner classic, including Vegemite and Honey, Mexican flavors and Southern style.

With more than 20 million items sold across Australia last year, the supermarket is determined to continue reinventing the wheel.

Shoppers will have to hurry as the flavor is available while stocks last and Coles is no longer offering the ‘hot chicken promise’ voucher after it was withdrawn back in February.

The voucher was a lounge pass for customers who were left empty-handed when they arrived for hot tea only to find the warming tray empty.

Then this news caused a mixed reaction.

“I didn’t even know what that was! My Coles regularly run out or don’t have any hooks. Damn!” one said in a Reddit post.

“I’m surprised stores still honor this sticker. I haven’t seen this sticker at any of my local stores in years,” said another.

“We know how much our customers love our Coles RSPCA Approved Hot Roast Chicken. They are one of the most popular products in our supermarkets and offer a delicious and affordable option,” a Coles spokesperson told news.com.au.

“To ensure our chickens are available when customers need them, we have made changes to our cooking schedules, which means increased availability, especially during busy lunch and dinner times.”
