After heavy rains in South Gujarat and Saurashtra, water has not receded in some areas in Gujarat.

According to the meteorological department, most parts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra and many parts of North Gujarat and Kutch received intermittent rainfall.

It rained heavily at various places in Amreli and Bhavnagar districts of Saurashtra.

After Mangrol Junagadh received over 20 inches of rain, life was affected. Ganda village in Gir Somnath district had to evacuate residents due to heavy rains. About 250 people were evacuated by the administration to safer places.

Thus, heavy if not very heavy rains are forecast in most parts of Gujarat in the coming days.

The monsoon, which started in Gujarat, is now gradually gaining strength. However, some parts of the district have not yet received rainfall.

According to the meteorological department, monsoon was active in Saurashtra-Kutch and normal in northern districts.

On the other hand, Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rainfall for five consecutive days and heavy rainfall is forecast for the coming days as well.

Even on July 6, the Meteorological Department issued a red alert in some areas of Mumbai. Alerts have been issued in Mumbai, Raigad, Nashik, Palghar, Thane, Pune, Satara.

The southwest monsoon is likely to move over parts of the northern Arabian Sea, rest of Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab and parts of Rajasthan over the next three days.

According to the meteorological department, the upper limit of the monsoon currently extends to Jamnagar, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Hisar and Bathinda.

Thus, if the rainfall system continues at its pace, most parts of Gujarat are likely to receive crop rains.

The seasonal trough line is currently located from southwest Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal and covers Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh and South Jharkhand.

The system formed in the Bay of Bengal has strengthened, transformed from a low pressure area into a depression and is approaching central India.

Normal to heavy rain forecast for Gujarat in coming days

According to the Gujarat Meteorological Department, the entire district of the state is likely to receive normal to heavy rainfall in the coming days.

According to the forecast, sixth of july Rain is forecast at many places in all districts of North Gujarat namely Banaskantha, Vav Tarad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar.

Similarly, rain may occur at most places in Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra and Nagarhaveli in South Gujarat.

Heavy rain is forecast at isolated places in Navsari, Dang, Valsad and Daman.

Light to moderate rain with thundershower is likely at many places in Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, Dwarka, Morbi, Kutch and Diu in Saurashtra and at a few places in Kutch.

Seventh of JulyRegarding Banaskantha, Vav Tarad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravali, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar of North Gujarat and all the districts of South Gujarat – Vadodara, Chota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and Daman. Rain is forecast for most parts of Dadra and Nagarhaveli.

Light to moderate rain and thunderstorm are also expected at some places in Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, Dwarka, Morbi, Kutch and Diu.

Eighth of JulyRain is also likely to occur in all parts of the state. Rain may occur at many places in Gujarat including Banaskantha, Vav Tarad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar.

Rain is also forecast at most places in all districts of South Gujarat.

Additionally, light to moderate rain is likely at some places in Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, Dwarka, Morbi, Kutch and Diu and at some places in Kutch.
