American Madison Keys is coming off one of the biggest upsets of Wimbledon 2026, beating 2025 Wimbledon runner-up Amanda Anisimova in the third round to reach the fourth round for the third time in the last four years.
Keys is a former Grand Slam winner (she won the 2025 Australian Open) and previously held the position at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, reaching the quarter-finals in 2023 and 2015.
Keys is now preferred over ninth-ranked Linda Noskova, who won matches in straight sets to reach the fourth round for the second year in a row at Wimbledon.

A 2025 Australian Open champion, Keys has made multiple quarter-final appearances at Wimbledon and is back in the fourth round for the fourth time in her last five appearances at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Keys needed three sets to get past Kayla Day in the first round, but then made quick work of Katie Swan (6-1, 6-4) in the second round. She then took on sixth-ranked player Amanda Anisimova (2025 Wimbledon runner-up) and knocked her out in three sets despite losing the first 3-6.
Despite being the lower ranked player in this match, Keys has the advantage against Noskova in their first meeting.
Linda Noskova
Wimbledon 9th seed Noskova beat 17th seed Sorana Cirstea in the third round to reach the fourth round for the second year in a row.
Noskova made it past the fourth round of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in 2025, but she produced a disappointing result at Roland Garros, losing in the first round. During her career, she has made only one Grand Slam quarterfinal appearance (2024 Australian Open).

Meanwhile, Noskova needed 27 and 30 games in the last two matches and needed a tiebreaker in the third round to advance.
