An active monsoon in Rajasthan causes heavy rainfall in many areas. It rained intermittently in Kota and Sawai Madhopur on Sunday morning.

Due to bad weather in Delhi, 11 flights arrived in Jaipur within an hour. According to the meteorological department, monsoon rains will continue in the state for the next five days.
At the same time, heavy rain is likely in some areas of Jaipur, Kota and Bharatpur districts. There is also a possibility of further advance of monsoon in the next 2-3 days.
Earlier on Saturday, up to one inch of rain fell in Sikar, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Jaisalmer and other areas. Due to the storm in Jaisalmer, a solar power plant installed at a hotel broke down and fell on scooter riders. An elderly man died as a result of the accident.

Flights from Delhi diverted to Jaipur: Bad weather in the capital affected flight schedules. On Sunday morning, four international and seven domestic flights were diverted to Jaipur. According to the airport authorities, these flights will depart to Delhi once the weather returns to normal. Special conditions are provided for all passengers.
Three scooter drivers were injured, one died: In Jaisalmer, a solar power plant installed on the roof of a hotel in Gandhi Colony broke down during storms and rain on Saturday evening. Scooter racer Subhash Khatri (50) and his two grandchildren Sanyam (4) and Vansh (2) were coming out from under the hotel when they were hit by broken solar panels. Subhash Khatri died during treatment.
Rain 28 mm in Chauth ka Barwada: In the last 24 hours, 28 mm of rainfall occurred at Chauth ka Barwada in Sawai Madhopur, 33 mm at Palsana in Sikar, 18 mm at Salumbar near Udaipur, 11 mm at Jalda, 16 mm at Dalot in Pratapgarh. Additionally, 12mm of rain was recorded in Nawalgarh Jhunjhunu, 28mm in Jalrapatan Jhalawar, 16mm in Bhadra Hanumangarh and 11mm in Udaipur city.
Chance of heavy rain: Jaipur Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma said a “well-defined low pressure system” (low pressure area) is forming over the Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast. There is also a monsoon trough passing through the southwestern part of Rajasthan. During this period, heavy rainfall may occur in the eastern and southeastern regions.
