Canada Day is fast approaching and it’s a big day of celebration and reflection across the country.
One of our favorite parts of the holiday is fireworks, and a number of events in and around Metro Vancouver have huge extravaganzas planned for July 1st.
To help you plan for Canada Day, we’ve compiled a list of cities and holidays that will light up the night sky. We’ll add more to the list as they are announced.
Canada Day in Surrey
What: The City of Surrey’s annual Canada Day celebration will take place at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheater in Cloverdale on Wednesday, July 1st. The free celebration for all ages includes interactive activities, vendors and food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks display.
The incredible lineup of events at the Bill Reed Millennium Amphitheater includes headliner Josh Ross, the first male Canadian country artist in nearly three decades to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

What: Canada Day in Coquitlam, which begins at noon, features family-friendly entertainment, multicultural performances, food trucks, adventure games, an eco-zone and more.
Be sure to stop by in the evening for the fireworks display over Lake Lafarge.

Time: From noon to 22:30; Fireworks at 22:00.
Where: City Central Park โ 1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam
Tolerance: For free
What: Canada Day in Burnaby will be filled with fun events and activities to celebrate the occasion, including Edmonds Square and Park and the Burnaby Village Museum throughout the day.
To cap off the celebration, there will also be fireworks in Central Park. StreetFest on Central will offer a family-friendly area in Civic Square, events for all ages on Central Boulevard, food vendors, a beer garden and free live performances in Central Park.

City of Port Coquitlam
What: Port Coquitlam’s Canada Day event takes place in Castle Park and features live performances from Canadian stars April Wine and country star Owen Rigling. The event also includes family-friendly activities, food trucks, market vendors and fireworks.
When: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Time: Noon and twilight. Fireworks after dark
Where: Castle Park – 2252 Castle Cres., Port Coquitlam.
Tolerance: For free
What: Head to the annual Canada Day celebration by the Bay at Memorial Park and West Beach in White Rock and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day. There will be live music, a children’s area, a vendor area and a fireworks finale at 10:15 p.m.

Where: Memorial Park and West Beach, White Rock
Tolerance: For free
What: The City of Delta is home to a large Canada Day celebration on July 1st at Chalmers Park. Bring the whole family to watch live music, dance and cultural performances, food trucks and vendors, and a stunning fireworks display to cap off the night.

Where: Chalmers Park – 11400 76a Ave., Delta

What: Celebrate Canada Day in the Town of Langley with free family activities. Little ones will love the games and entertainment, while adults will enjoy checking out exhibitor booths, sampling food trucks and enjoying the live entertainment.
The evening will also end with fireworks at McLeod Athletic Park.

What: Start your day in Abbotsford, Canada with a fun community parade, then head to Abbotsford Exhibition Park for food trucks, live entertainment, cultural programs and a stunning fireworks finale.

Where: The parade starts at South Fraser Way and Borquin; Celebrations will be held at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, 32470 Haida Dr., Abbotsford.
