Matthew Blagg
Matthew Blagg outlasted a field of 936 entries to claim his first live tournament win, a career-high $238,470 and a WSOP Circuit gold ring after beating Eric Janowski heads-up.
Blagg, who is more of an online specialist, has earned just $208,565 in his career in live tournaments on HendonMob, with his previous record of $30,100 coming earlier this summer during The Colossus when he finished in 14th place.
It was a bittersweet ending for 24-year-old Janowski as he led the chips for most of the day before two crucial hands swung the tide in Blagg’s favor.
First, Yanovsky opened the button to 800,000, and Blagg defended the big blind and saw the flop. 
which he immediately checked. Yanovsky continued to bet 700,000 and Blagg check-raised to 2,000,000.
Yanovsky called on the turn

fill out the board.
Blagg moved all-in for 9,500,000, and Yanovsky shook his head and rolled his eyes before painfully throwing his hand away, and with it the chip lead.
A few hands later, while limping preflop, Yanovsky checked. 
on the flop and Blagg bet 400,000. Janowski check-raised to 1,400,000 and Blagg called to see the turn.

Yanovsky moved all-in for over 11 million and Blagg promptly called. Yanovsky submitted for consideration (8s2s) for straight and flush draws, but Blagg had 
for the lower set. River 
Yanovsky was knocked out, and that’s how Blagg got the ring.
