Amazon Prime Settlement Claim Deadline One Week Remains: Find Out If You're Eligible

Eligible Amazon Prime members have one week left to claim payment from Amazon’s historic $2.5 billion settlement amid allegations that the online giant signed up customers for Prime without their consent and made it difficult to cancel.

Claims must be filed by July 27, 2026, and approved class settlement participants may receive up to $51.00.

In a 2023 complaint, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said Amazon signed up millions of customers for Prime without their knowledge and forced them to unsubscribe. The Federal Trade Commission accused Amazon of using “manipulative, coercive, or deceptive user interface design… to trick consumers into signing up for auto-renewing Prime subscriptions.”

In addition to the $1 billion in FTC fines, Amazon agreed to pay $1.5 billion to affected customers and streamline the cancellation process.

Participants who have not previously received an automatic payment have until July 27, 2026 to submit a valid claim for reimbursement.
