All good things must come to an end, her short stay in London was over, but certainly not in the way she had imagined. Although Marie Ducret and her friend had booked a flight to return to Monaco, the train that was supposed to take them to the airport unfortunately did not arrive at their destination on time. In a story published on Instagram (see slideshow), Marie Ducret gave details the endless journey the duo had to take try to come back.

But fate obviously wanted to be a little more persistent. Like many travelers who have been the victims of delays that later lead to a missed flight, Marie Ducret paid for a new ticket on a plane with a bad reputation: “Was I denied a boarding pass under the pretext that I should have booked under my maiden name and not my wife? YES. Were you crying at every counter, begging for help because you wanted to be reunited with your family? YES. Did it work? Of course not.»
Eventually everything returned to normal after purchasing a third ticket with the correct details and doing a 30 minute bag test on Koh Lanta to “they find the bus departure and everyone tells (them) the opposite.” Shortly after midnight, Marie Ducret finally found her family, where she received a welcome worthy of the name of Pancake, the family dog.
