The actress’s father, Joshua Hottle, spoke about this. TMZ that his daughter died in a car accident Tuesday morning in Maryland. Although most news outlets report that she was 18 years old, the actress’s IMDb profile notes that she was born on May 1, 2007, making her 19.
Kaylee Hottle, who was deaf, communicated with Kong in Godzilla vs Kong films using sign language. Joshua Hottle shared the news of his daughter’s death in American Sign Language (ASL) in a Facebook Live broadcast. In a video broadcast filmed in Texas, Joshua Hottle wrote: “I’m on a flight I never want to be on.”

At the beginning Godzilla vs KongJia of Hottle is a Skull Island native who gives Kong a handmade doll. She reprized the role in Godzilla X Kong: New Empire. In the films, Gia is taken under the wing of Ilene Andrews, played by Rebecca Hall.

Hottle was born in Atlanta and then attended the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, where she was a graduate.
The school wrote in a Facebook post: “It is with deep sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that one of our TSD graduates, Kaylee Hottle, tragically passed away yesterday in a car accident in Frederick, Maryland.
“Our hearts go out to Kaylee’s family, friends, classmates and everyone who knew and loved her during this incredibly difficult time.”
