Prince Harry revealed in his biography what Queen Elizabeth really thought about Princess Kate – a detail that may surprise many.
London – Often it’s the small, personal moments that reveal more than any official appearance. Prince Harry (41) captured the moment in his memoir The Spare – and inadvertently revealed how much Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) admired Princess Kate (44). During his wife Meghan’s (44) first meeting with King Charles (77) and Queen Camilla (78), the Duke of Sussex recalled a phrase from his grandmother that had a lot to say.

In “Spare” Harry describes how he told Meghan to let her hair down before the meeting – and justifies it as a preference that was apparently widespread within the royal family: both his father and the late queen would have appreciated it if women wore their hair down. And then one sentence comes out from a British magazine: Hello! quoted: The Queen has repeatedly spoken of Kate’s “beautiful mane” – in German: Kate’s beautiful mane. Three words that show how closely Elizabeth II watched the wife of her grandson William (44).

Today, Princess Kate is best known for her elegant, timeless looks, and her thick, dark hair has been part of her unmistakable trademark for many years. The British news portal also confirms that Princess Kate and Queen Elizabeth II’s relationship has gone beyond mere protocol. My London, it affects one Channel-5-Documentary film about two women. In it, British royal family expert and author Ingrid Seward says, “I think the Queen recognized Kate’s strength and saw that she was a caring person who had an extraordinary connection to a sense of duty.” The monarch took the time to make Kate feel valued – a gesture that is by no means a given in such a strict protocol environment.
