Four 30-minute tests were scheduled for the test against Mannheim, so Miro Klose was able to give almost all the players an hour of playing time each. In the first 60 minutes, Reichert started between the posts and a four-man line with Masouras, Kalogeropoulos, Mkrtchyan and Porstner formed in front of him. Fernandez and Cornvax took on a more defensive role in central midfield, while Becker, who had returned to action, started in number ten. Lisveski looked after the FCN penalty for the second 60 minutes. Abu El Haija and Otto defended in the center, von der Hitz and Janisch occupied the full-back positions. Markhiev and Ljubach formed a double six, Soldic played in the ten. Zoma and Justvan went outside, and Skobel was allowed to go forward. And here, after half an hour, Klose removed Otto, who was injured during the week, from the field and brought guest player Hurtado onto the field.

First quarter: Mannheim started the game better and more active. In the first quarter of an hour the action took place mainly in Klose’s half of the field, and Reichert prevented the lead from taking the lead with a strong save. After this, the club entered the game better and controlled the game more and more. However, there was still a lack of truly dangerous offensive action in the first half.
Second quarter: The club found it difficult to rise to the top at first, but gradually took control. Positive: Klose’s team won the ball back several times, but the final pass lacked precision. Mannheim took the lead midway through the second third. With five minutes remaining, Fernandez deservedly equalized after FCN made a good recovery.
Third quarter: The club dominated the third period from the very beginning. Klose’s team took the lead on numerous occasions, especially through Zoma’s left flank. After a disappointing 1-2 scoreline, FCN quickly hit back and then had one or two chances to score more goals.
Fourth quarter: The club maintained control in the final part of the game and deservedly took the lead for the first time. Mannheim now found it difficult to retain possession and rarely left their own half. Finally Lubac missed another goal from the penalty spot.
