Jennifer Lawrence is the queen of street style! When she’s not starring in a blockbuster movie or walking the red carpet, the actress is often spotted walking or biking around New York City in casual attire—jeans, T-shirts, baseball caps, and more—flavored with her own unique style. For example, the star was recently photographed riding a bicycle wearing the trendiest pants of the season: sweatpants. She wore the timeless and affordable adidas Firebird Loose Track Pants.
The star wore them in navy blue with orange stripes (possibly a nod to the New York Knicks, who won the NBA championship this summer). She paired them with ballerina sneakers, a black tank top, black sunglasses, a silk scarf and a baseball cap, presumably to evade the paparazzi. Of course, we also have to mention that she had a bright orange Hermes Birkin in her bike basket. (Celebrities! They’re just like us… until they’re not.)

The trousers feature a relaxed fit, mid-rise elastic waist, hidden zip pockets and the brand’s signature stripes on the sides. Fun fact: Adidas was one of the first brands to produce sweatpants, including them as part of athletes’ warm-up suits, in the 1960s. They’re now a fairly standard athleisure staple, and celebrities like Lawrence, Kacey Musgraves and Vanessa Hudgens have been spotted wearing them.

“Big equals big,” she said, adding, “You can have a baggy bottom and a tight top, but you can never wear a tight bottom and a baggy top.” Otherwise, she says, you risk “looking like a lamp.”
