Argentine superstar striker Lionel Messi had his nine-match World Cup winning streak snapped during his side’s quarter-final match against Switzerland.
And it appeared the reigning world champions’ chances of qualifying could be in jeopardy during this game as they went into extra time after the match finished 1-1 on regulation. Messi’s side eventually rallied and scored two extra-time goals to seal a 3-1 victory that earned them a semi-final clash with England.

Messi is certain to keep another clean sheet against England if it means reaching a third World Cup final in a row. Despite this, he will be very active on the pitch, just as his wife Antonela Roccuzzo was active during a recent gym session.
On July 13, Roccuzzo posted a post-workout selfie of her to her Instagram Story. The message was originally posted by the woman next to her in the photo before Roccuzzo posted it herself.

Messi is currently 39 years old; he celebrated his birthday at the end of June. Roccuzzo is 38 years old and both halves of the couple are still in great shape despite being in their mid-40s.
Roccuzzo and Messi have known each other since childhood, but got married in 2017. They currently have three sons, all three of whom, along with their mother, watched Messi and Argentina play throughout the World Cup.
Messi has nothing more to add to his magnificent all-time resume, even if he loses to England on Tuesday. He also clearly excels off the field.
