After a three-hour, 10-minute rain red flag, the NASCAR Cup Series resumed racing at 12:01 a.m. And soon the action heated up.

As Carson Hocevar and Bubba Wallace battled to catch Ryan Blaney late in the second stage, Hocevar suddenly lost pace and was reported to be due to a tire failure. Two laps later, Wallace spun out.

On the final lap of the second stage, Wallace pulled away and eased off the gas. He dropped low, but Ty Gibbs didn’t have time to check and spun Wallace across the infield as Blaney entered the second stage of the Quaker State 400.

Winners of the 2nd stage

1. Ryan Blaney
2. Tyler Reddick
3. Joey Logano
