The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the right-handed pitcher to their MLB roster and will play on Sunday against the San Diego Padres.
Subsequently, right-hander Chad Dallas has been given an opportunity to play in Triple-A Buffalo, the team announced.
Van Eyck, 27, was selected by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2020 draft. The Tampa, Florida native spent the 2026 season with the Bisons, pitching 78.1 innings in 17 games (13 starts). Van Eyck had a 3.79 ERA over that span, allowing 33 earned runs on 56 strikeouts and 25 walks.
Dallas, 26, has made two major league appearances for Toronto this season, pitching 4.2 innings with a 1.93 ERA.
The Blue Jays will look to take the series win over the Padres on Sunday, with Kevin Gausman taking the mound for the 4:10 PM ET/1:10 PM PT start (on Sportsnet, Sportsnet+).
