The post not only alleged cheating, but also seemed to reinforce reports that the breakup was far from amicable.Wright also deleted all photos of Gardner from her Instagram account, including images from their wedding ceremony.Neither Gardner nor Fall have publicly responded to Wright’s allegations. Cricket Australia also has not commented on the claims.

The marriage reportedly broke down a few months after the wedding
Gardner and Wright married in April 2025 in a ceremony attended by several members of the Australian women’s cricket team. However, according to a Daily Mail report, the relationship began to deteriorate two months later when Gardner was in India for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.The publication, citing a team source, said teammates sensed something was wrong during the tournament, especially after Wright traveled to India to visit Gardner. The insider said the atmosphere around the couple seemed tense, although many initially attributed this to the pressure of the World Cup.Returning to Sydney, Gardner allegedly had a private conversation with Wright that effectively ended the marriage. According to the report, Wright was “shocked” after Gardner explained why things had changed during the India tour.The Daily Mail further reported that the split was particularly painful as the couple were reportedly planning to start a family and even made an appointment at a fertility clinic before splitting.Gardner is believed to have left the house they shared later that year, leaving behind only her wedding rings. Sources quoted by the publication said the split sent shockwaves through the close-knit Australian women’s team, with Wright having developed strong friendships with several players over the previous five years.The Daily Mail also reported that Cricket Australia was aware of the breakdown of the marriage. When approached for comment, Cricket Australia senior communications executive Richard Hinds responded with a curt “no comment”.
