Conor McGregor Confidence has not diminished after five years away from mixed martial arts. Ahead of UFC 329, McGregor has resumed his blood feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov and put himself ahead of the best in the sport.
McGregor will headline UFC International Fight Week on Saturday, taking on Max Holloway for the second time. A former two-division champion, he recently joined Complex to restructure their rankings of the greatest UFC fighters of all time.
The conversation naturally turned to Khabib Nurmagomedov, who defeated McGregor in the most hostile fight the UFC has ever seen. McGregor completely belittled Nurmagomedov’s achievements.
“This guy has done nothing in sports… Where is he now?” asked McGregor. “He left. I don’t rate him at all. This man has no courage; he never fought in weight classes, never finished and got knocked out.”
McGregor didn’t seem to care much that Nurmagomedov once held the record for most lightweight title defenses, retired undefeated… and easily defeated McGregor.
Nurmagomedov wasn’t the only name McGregor turned down. At least he made the list in ninth place, with McGregor putting himself in first place.
McGregor has completely ruled out the former two-division champion Georges Saint-Pierreclaiming that he wasn’t taking any chances and that McGregor would beat him in a fight.
McGregor, a former welterweight and lightweight champion who competed at welterweight this weekend, also put himself ahead Jon Jones. He believes he can beat Jones, claiming the former heavyweight and light heavyweight champion has poor boxing skills.
“John looks very soft there. Where is he now? asked McGregor. “I’m still here. None of these guys, including John, are on my level. He has eight knockouts, I have 19.”
