For the man in Viersen, it’s all over: the landlady abandons the business. Goods and commercial equipment are now on sale.
Viersen – Fashion store Mann-o-Mann in Viersen will soon close. Owner Michaela Landers announced her decision to her customers. She cited economic difficulties for businesses in the Süchtern district of the city on the Lower Rhine as the reason.

In a video message on Facebook, the owner says with a heavy heart that she “lost the fight.” She further writes in a post on the platform: “It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that I will soon be closing my business due to economic reasons. Unfortunately, my dream did not come true as I had hoped.”
Sale: goods and commercial equipment are on sale.
The store sold men’s and women’s fashion and, in addition to branded clothing, also offered cleaning services. From now on, clothing items will no longer be accepted for cleaning, says the owner.
As part of the closure of the business, there will be a sale. According to the store’s announcement, deep discounts are available on women’s and men’s fashion, as well as “top brands” – while supplies last. In addition, all store equipment will be sold. Those interested can purchase, among other things, mannequins, clothes hangers, shelves and hangers. Anyone interested in store furniture should contact the store staff directly. The owner did not say when the business will close permanently.
Finally, Lenders thank their customers “for their loyalty.” She wanted to “lock the door with her head held high.” Hence the call for a sale again. For clients, this decision came as a shock and unexpected. At least that’s what the comments and reactions to the video say. The video was viewed by over 70,000 people, with over 200 reacting and 25 commenting. “Dear Michaela, I’m so sorry,” says one user. “This was my favorite store,” says another. However, this chapter has come to an end.
Hellwegs hardware stores in Dortmund are also experiencing economic difficulties. But now things are getting even worse: Augsburg garden centers, also located in the Ruhr region city, have gone bankrupt.
