How to buy it?

This sticker will indeed concern French cars, as its purpose is to attract foreign motorists to finance the infrastructure. It will become mandatory for all vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tons on highways and regional roads, with the exception of municipal roads. Tractors and emergency services will be exempt from the tax. The document will be linked to the registration plate and can be purchased online on the portals of the three regions (Wallonia, Flemish and Brussels). Motorists will be able to choose several validity periods: one day, ten days, two months or one year.

What is its price?

The price will depend on the CO2 emissions of the car. The annual cost of zero-emission vehicles will be 90 euros; 100 euros for vehicles equivalent to Crit’Air 3; 125 euros for vehicles equivalent to Crit’Air 4 or 5. For one day the price will range from 8.10 to 11.25 euros. Drivers with Belgian nationality will be entitled to government compensation for less pay. The country’s income is estimated at approximately 200 million euros per year.
