Samantha Morton may have only watched four times during her time. Odyssey press tour, but there were enough of them to leave a lasting impression.
Although I understood the thought behind her discovery McQueen look, especially regarding her character, it didn’t help me. There was an idea, but it was not flattering.
She then did a 180 at the London premiere at Bottega Veneta, delivering what I thought was the standout look of her press tour. It was modern, confident and suited her perfectly.
House Margiela The look turned out to be the most controversial of the four, but it was quite consistent with Samantha’s personal style. The draped silhouette, layered textures, and colorful scarf gave the look an artistic edge that felt authentic and not just unconventional for the sake of it.
I only wish Willie Chavarria Look was saved for one of the main events because it was my second favorite of the tour.
Considerably more understated than her other looks, the clean, sculpted silhouette and sharp shoulders demonstrated how effective simplicity can be when a cut is so powerful.
