The Vietnamese swimming team continued to make a strong impression at the 12th Asian Age Group Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, winning three more gold and two silver medals on the second day of competition.
It is noteworthy that the young fishermen also set a new Asian record in the 4x100m Mixed Freestyle Relay, thereby expanding the series of impressive achievements on the continental level.
After a successful first day of competition, the Vietnam swimming team continues its impressive performance at the 12th Asian Age Group Aquatics Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

On the second day of the swimming competition, Vietnamese athletes brought home 3 more gold and 2 silver medals, and also set a new Asian record in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay, confirming the maturity of Vietnam’s young swimming force on the continental stage.
The Vietnamese swimming team’s three gold medals belonged to Tran Van Nguyen Quoc in the men’s 200m freestyle, Nguyen Thuy Hien in the women’s 50m butterfly and Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien in the women’s 100m backstroke.
Meanwhile, Ha Quoc Nguyen won silver in the men’s 50m butterfly. The remaining silver medal went to the mixed team in the 4x100m freestyle relay, but the achievements of the Vietnamese fishermen were still enough to set a new Asian record, becoming the highlight of the competition day.
This is the result after the excellent performance of the Vietnamese swimming team on the first day of the competition, where the athletes won 3 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals, and also set the Asian age record for the men’s 400m freestyle set by Tran Van Nguyen Quoc.
The continued winning of medals and setting Asian records shows the outstanding progress of the younger generation of Vietnamese athletes. Many individuals have proven their ability to compete with leading regional competitors and have also created the prerequisites for participation in major arenas such as the SEA Games, the Asian Games and beyond, the Olympic Games.

The 12th Asian Age Group Aquatics Championships will be held from July 16 to 25 in Bangkok, attracting more than 1,200 athletes from more than 30 countries and territories in Asia. The tournament includes swimming, diving, water polo and synchronized swimming, which will be held from July 17 to 21 according to the World Aquatics and Asia Aquatics competition system.
This is the most important tournament in Asian youth swimming and an opportunity for countries to test their strengths on the international stage in the coming years.
Judging by the results of two days of competition, the Vietnamese swimming team demonstrates careful preparation, competitive spirit and clear progress of young athletes. Fans have reason to expect that Vietnamese fishermen will continue to win more medals and set new milestones during the remaining competition days in Bangkok.
