Andoni Iraola believes Liverpool have signed “very hungry and ambitious” Spain striker Victor Munoz.
The Reds completed a deal to bring Muñoz from Osasuna earlier this summer following their breakthrough La Liga campaign in 2025/26.
The 23-year-old is playing for his country at the World Cup and will be a finalist when Spain meet Argentina at the big tournament on Sunday.
Speaking to LiverpoolFC.com, manager Iraola detailed what qualities he believes Munoz will offer the club when he arrives soon.
“We will have someone who wins the World Championship!” said the boss. “We still don’t know if it will be (Alexis) Mac Allister or Victor, but someone will win.
.
“I think we signed Victor at a time when he is very hungry, ambitious but remains humble and knows he needs to be very prepared.
“I think he is a man with a certain versatility: he can play on the right or on the left and he has the necessary work rate for everything we need.
“I really want him here, although we know we’ll have to wait for him and McCoy.”
