The Uttar Pradesh Educational Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially released the UPTET Admit Card 2026 on 30 June 2026. Candidates who have registered for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 can now download the hall tickets directly from the official website upessc.up.gov.in. This is the most important step that every aspirant must complete before heading to the examination center as entry will be denied to anyone who does not carry a valid printed copy of the admit card.

The UPTET 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 2, 3 and 4, 2026 in offline mode at OMR at examination centers located across Uttar Pradesh. About UPTET 2026 – Paper 1 and Paper 2

UPTET 2026 is conducted under advertisement number 01/UPTET/2026 by the Uttar Pradesh Educational Services Selection Commission (UPESSC). There are two tasks in the exam:

Paper 1 is for candidates wishing to teach in grades 1 to 5 (entry level). Paper 2 is for candidates wishing to teach in grades 6–8 (upper primary level). Candidates wishing to be eligible to teach at both levels must apply for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

The exam is conducted in offline mode using OMR based answer sheets and is available in both Hindi and English languages. There is no upper limit to the number of attempts a candidate can make to appear in UPTET.

Validity of UPTET certificate and its role in teacher selection

UPTET qualification does not directly guarantee government teaching jobs in Uttar Pradesh. However, it is a mandatory teacher selection criterion for all teacher recruitment processes in government and government-aided primary and high schools across the state. Candidates who clear UPTET get a qualification certificate that is valid for life from the date of issue, i.e. there is no need to appear again after receiving the certificate.
