Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the country’s first hydrogen train in Jind, Haryana on Friday (July 17). During this time, he also mentioned the ongoing war between America and Iran. He said, “In the last 12 years, about 99 percent of India’s railway network has been electrified. Haryana has achieved 100% electrification of the railway network. Because of this, despite the war, despite the oil crisis, the Indian train did not stop, the Indian development machine did not stop.
Prime Minister Modi said: “Electrification of Indian Railways began in 1925, which is about 100 years ago. In the roughly 90 years from 1925 to 2014, only about 30 percent of the country’s entire rail network was electrified. 70 percent of the territory ran on diesel fuel.

The Prime Minister said that the train of the 21st century will run on hydrogen. There are only 3 or 4 countries in the world where hydrogen trains operate. This is the most powerful train in the world, the longest train. The country hoisted its flag in the world by launching a 10-car train. This eco-friendly train was created by an Indian engineer.
