Robert Lewandowski made his Major League Soccer debut. The Poland captain started the match between Chicago Fire and Inter Miami in the starting line-up, marking the beginning of a new stage in his football career.
Even before the first whistle, the official MLS profile on the X website published a short post featuring the 37-year-old footballer. The piece was accompanied by a simple message: “Welcome to MLS, Robert Lewandowski,” welcoming the Pole to the American League.
The video shows Lewandowski wearing a Chicago Fire jersey as he greets the Inter Miami team shortly before kick-off. The Polish striker smiles, shakes hands with his opponents and enters the field, starting his first official match in the new colors.
After four seasons spent in Barcelona, Lewandowski decided to move to the United States. He joined the Chicago Fire as a free agent and was immediately named in the starting lineup for one of the most anticipated matches of the season – against Inter Miami.
