YouTube TV has quietly added two new channels to its low-cost streaming plans, weeks after a deal with Allen Media allowed the streaming cable alternative to continue to run on the broadcaster’s networks.
Earlier this month, Comedy.TV was added to the low-cost entertainment plan, and The Weather Channel became available to stream on YouTube TV’s low-cost plans with the optional News Plan.
The News Plan add-on is available to YouTube TV streamers with the Sports Plan or Entertainment Plan. The Sports and News plan costs $72 per month, while the Entertainment and News plan costs $63 per month.
All Allen Media-owned channels are also available in the basic YouTube TV package, which costs $83 per month and includes more than 170 channels of news, entertainment, sports and local networks.
New channels have been added to YouTube TV without price adjustments. Streamers will find the channels in their digital program guides, although they may have to add them manually if their TV guide is custom-sorted.
