In the next two to three days, conditions will be favorable for the spread of monsoon over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, parts of southeast Rajasthan and rest of Gujarat.

A new western disturbance is also likely to affect northwestern India around July 2nd.

Regarding the situation today, June 30, the Meteorological department has forecast rain at isolated places in Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar districts of North Gujarat.

Moreover, today all the districts of South Gujarat like Vadodara, Chotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra and few places in Nagar Haveli and also at selected places in Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad and Diu in Saurashtra. Moderate rain likely.

However, a moderate storm may occur today and tomorrow, that is, over the next two days.

Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi districts in Gujarat and Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad districts in Saurashtra as well as Diu will experience thunderstorm at 40 to 50 km/h also very likely.

According to the meteorological department, it is likely at isolated places in Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar of North Gujarat, all districts of South Gujarat and Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka and Gir. light to moderate rain. On July 2, the meteorological department has forecast moderate rainfall at isolated places in Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Vav Tarad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravali, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar in all districts of North Gujarat.

Along with this, all districts of South Gujarat as well as all Saurashtra-Kutch districts including Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, Kutch and isolated places in Diu are very likely to experience heavy rainfall.

The meteorological department had then predicted rain throughout Gujarat on July 3.

Even on July 3, the weather department said that there is a high chance of light to moderate rain in all districts of North Gujarat region including Ahmedabad, all districts of South Gujarat region and all districts of Saurashtra-Kutch.

The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain across Gujarat on July 4 and 5.

If we look at the rainfall statistics of Gujarat in the last 24 hours, some areas of Gujarat have recorded light rain.

Jessar in Bhavnagar district and Umargam in Valsad district recorded the highest rainfall of 16 mm (0.63 in).

Subsequently, Khambha in Amreli and Ranpur taluk in Botad received 3 mm (0.12 in) of rain and Dang Ahwa taluk in Dang received 2 mm.

If we look at the temperature in the last 24 hours, the highest temperature in Gujarat is Anandana BB. The city recorded a temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius.

There has also been no major change in the maximum temperature in Gujarat.

Maximum temperatures remained above normal in parts of North Gujarat and Saurashtra.
