Until mid-August, the Montreal sky will be lit up with thousands of lights on Thursday evenings and sometimes Sundays as part of the International des Feux Loto-Québec in Montreal before heading downriver to dazzle Quebec throughout August.
From July 2 to August 6, the world’s greatest pyrotechnic artists will take part in a colorful competition as part of the 40th edition of the International des Feux Loto-Québec.
Here are the dates, countries and topics that will be covered this summer:
- Thursday, July 2: Opening show on the theme We are celebrating our 40th anniversary
- Thursday, July 9: Hungary topic Roller coaster of emotions
- Sunday, July 12: Italy theme Echo of Fire – Sicilian Symphony
- Thursday, July 16: China topic One world, infinity of sparks
- Thursday, July 23: Canada theme Each of us has a hero
- Sunday, July 26: United States theme For one night
- Thursday 30 July: Australia theme ON OUR PATH
- Thursday, August 6: Closing of the show with the theme “Tribute to the Legends.”
Performances will begin at 10 p.m., rain or shine. To ensure the safety of spectators, the Jacques-Cartier Bridge will be completely closed in both directions from 20:00. to midnight on all show days.
Only pedestrians, wheelchair users and people with disabilities will be able to view the fireworks on the bridge. Bicycles will be prohibited.
Grands Feux Loto-Quebec

From August 4 to 22, fireworks shows will take place on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City and Lévis as part of the 30th edition of the Grands Feux Loto-Québec, with several colorful themes:
- Tuesday, August 4: Rock and roll.
- Thursday, August 6: Fiesta Latina
- Tuesday, August 11: Eluchette
- Thursday, August 13: Halloween.
- Saturday, August 15: New Country
- Tuesday, August 18: Space.
- Thursday, August 20: Platinum Electro
- Saturday, August 22: 30th anniversary.
The events are free, but you can also reserve seats in the Quebec and Lévis areas to ensure a great view of the fireworks.
