“American Pie” star Tara Reid is leaving Los Angeles for good after taking a harsh parting shot at her longtime neighbor.
The 50-year-old actress confirmed she was moving to Florida after deciding she could no longer stand living in California.
“Everything is better than L.A. right now,” Reed said on the Pinellas Podcast. “Los Angeles is just a f***ing show.”
In the early 2000s, Reed bought an elegant apartment in the Hollywood Walking Tower for $US395,000 ($266,000).
She also has a second home in Florida, purchased in 2024 with her boyfriend Nathan Montpetit-Howar.

In the early 2000s, Reed bought an elegant apartment inside the Hollywood Promenade Tower for $266,000.
The move marks a breakthrough for the actress, who shot to international fame in 1998’s The Big Lebowski and went on to star in 2000s hits Van Wilder and Urban Legend.
In an interview with Mr. magazine Warburton Reid recalled how negative tabloid attention ruined her career, despite the fact that she had never broken the law.
“I was the first person to start this look,” Reed said. “The difference is I never made a sex tape. I never did anything wrong – I wasn’t even fined for speeding.
“But why was I punished? If I hadn’t been at work and hadn’t been shooting, I would have gone straight to Europe. I would have popped bottles and had a great time. But who doesn’t do that?”
She added that she felt bullied by major studios while she was out of the spotlight before returning to the Sharknado franchise.
“I haven’t worked for a while,” Reed said. “It really upset me… It didn’t make sense to punish me for having fun.”

The actress, whose net worth is reported to be US$714,000 ($500,000), is facing a major pay problem in Hollywood.
When Reed reprized her iconic role in American Reunion in 2012, she was the lowest-paid member of the cast, earning $370,000 ($250,000).
By comparison, male actors Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott were each paid $7.4 million ($5 million) for their return.
Court documents from a 2018 lawsuit against the producers of Sharknado, which was later dismissed, later revealed that her income grew as the franchise expanded.
Reed received $178,000 ($125,000) for “Sharknado 5” and $250,000 ($175,000) for “Sharknado’s Last: It’s About Time.”
