Head coach Dean Cox has named his team to face cross-GWS rivals on Saturday.
Sydney Swans coach Dean Cox has made two changes to his squad to take on cross-town rivals GWS in Saturday afternoon’s Sydney Derby XXXIII.
Harry Cunningham (concussion) will be replaced by defender Harry Kyle, while Billy Coutee will return to the starting line-up at the expense of Angus Sheldrick (excluded).
Both Kyle and Coutee played important roles in the Swans’ VFL win last weekend, with Kyle kicking 30 disposals and Coutee kicking five goals in the 16-point win.
“Harry Kyle has obviously played as a senior for us and made way last week but has responded well and Billy has been in incredible form for a few weeks now,” senior coach Dean Cox said.
“I expect them (the Giants) to be at their best, which is what we always do. These are great battles, no matter where someone is in the standings, these are really passionate football games and I can’t wait for another one.”
Cox went on to say he hopes to see plenty of red and white at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday.
“Our support wherever we are is second to none and we would expect nothing less.”
The Sydney Swans hold the Sydney Derby Cup after winning their last meeting with the Giants by 41 points in Round 6 at the SCG.
The second-placed Swans take on the Giants on Saturday at 4.35pm at ANGIE Stadium.
