Sexual violence and cruelty to animals: BFM member arrested again

Accused last June of setting the Hells Angels school clubhouse on fire in 2024, Julien Legedard is back in court for charges including sexual assault and cruelty to animals.

A 22-year-old criminal linked to the Blood Family Mafia (BFM) was arrested by the Levis Police (SPVL) on Wednesday morning as part of an investigation launched in recent weeks following a complaint.

“The police obtained various judicial warrants, which led to the arrest of the suspect, as well as a search of his home,” points out Yann Lévesque, a spokesman for the organization, adding that at the time of writing, the search was still ongoing.

Legedar is accused of sexual assault in 2023 in Ottawa and Quebec against the complainant. The same alleged victim was also charged with criminal harassment in early 2025. Finally, a second incident of sexual assault, as well as an assault charge again against the same complainant, allegedly occurred in mid-May in Levis. The offender is also accused of communicating with a person for the purpose of obtaining paid sexual services.

He is also charged with cruelty to an animal between January 2023 and January 2024.

Legedar appeared late Wednesday at a Quebec City courthouse in the case. The prosecutor opposed his release.

“The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be brought after the materials collected during the search are analyzed,” says Mr. Levesque.

Ordinary court

Let us remind you that the 22-year-old young man appeared no later than June 3 from the Quebec pre-trial detention center.

He was accused of deliberately setting fire to the premises of Devil’s Ghost, a Hells Angels high school club, in Alma on February 8, 2024.

Charlotte Montambault-Vaillancourt, David Trottier-Boucher and Jonathan Icebound Chevrier were also charged in the case.

Last year, in March 2025, the twenty-year-old was also sentenced to 20 months in prison for his role in the kidnapping and torture of Michel Chouinard in February 2024 on the battlefields of the drug control war.

The victim was found in Montreal missing a toe and finger and with blowtorch burns to his buttocks.
