Calgary is experiencing severe thunderstorms on Wednesday, with Environment Canada issuing a severe weather warning later in the day.
The Met Office says thunderstorms are likely to develop this afternoon and early evening with the possibility of strong wind gusts, large hail, heavy rain and lightning.
Calgarians are advised to be prepared for changing weather conditions throughout the day.
People are urged to go indoors if they hear thunder or see a thunderstorm approaching.
Watching a severe thunderstorm means that the atmosphere has all the necessary ingredients for storms to form. A warning will mean that a severe storm has already begun.
