Rory McIlroy turned up at Wimbledon on Wednesday and came out in style, replicating the green jacket of his April Masters victory.

The green jacket he’s been chasing for so long has been in the back-to-back Masters winner’s wardrobe for over a year now, and he’s putting it to good use. There are many big names playing at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London in the lead-up to Wimbledon, but few have been in as eye-catching form as McIlroy.

The iconic Northern Irish golfer paired the green jacket, which has been awarded to the winner of the annual Masters since 1949, with a matching green tie, white shirt and khaki trousers.

The road to winning the green jacket has been a long one for McIlroy, who has been stuck one Masters victory away from a career Grand Slam since 2014. Success at Augusta eluded him until 2025, when he finally made it to the top spot in the playoffs. He then repeated the feat this spring, winning the tournament back-to-back in 2026.

McIlroy is the sixth golfer to win a career Grand Slam and the fourth to win the Masters in recent years.
