When can I expect relief?
The poultry industry expects egg prices to decline slightly from late July. This is because many North Indians reduce their consumption of eggs and meat during the month of Shravan for religious reasons. Prices are also likely to fall slightly as demand falls. However, if the monsoon is sub-par and corn and soybean prices remain high, egg and chicken prices are expected to fall in the coming months.
