Some key GIANTS could return to Adam Kingsley’s side for the club’s clash with the Cats.

Key players from Adam Kingsley’s side could return for Saturday’s blockbuster clash with the Cats at ENGIE Stadium.

Phoenix Gothard – which was run last week – and also Jayden Laverd (hamstring) are expected to be available.

Xavier O’Halloran will continue to participate in unlimited team training as his rehabilitation from syndesmosis surgery nears the end. A decision on his availability to play will be made after the main training session on Thursday.

Leek Alirwho was also monitored during the trip to Canberra last week, will be sidelined for a further week as he continues to suffer from groin pain.

Max Gruzevski will return to running and modified training this week after dislocating his kneecap in the 16th round.

Ollie Hannaford And Jake Ricciardi will progress in their rehabilitation, moving on to running and physical fitness training.

Jack Buckley joins Brent Daniels, Jesse Hogan And Josh Kelly with an uncertain return date from a calf injury sustained in training last week. The club are expected to know more about the timing of his return to action next week.

Meanwhile, the GIANTS will be left without Lachie Whitfield The veteran defenseman was sidelined this weekend with a concussion.

The GIANTS take on the Cats at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday.
