PlayStation Plus October 2025 Lineup: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 & Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 Headline the Monthly Games

Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October 2025, giving subscribers a fresh batch of titles to download from Tuesday October 6 through Monday November 2. The headline trio features the official Formula 1 game F1 25, the intense extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896, and the voxel‑styled cooperative romp Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. In addition to the core lineup, the announcement reminds players to grab September’s offerings before they expire, highlights limited‑time Spider‑Man avatars, and details a series of Halloween‑themed in‑game packs.

F1 25 | PS5

F1 25 delivers the authentic 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship experience. Players can immerse themselves in a deep Career mode, rebuild a team with the revamped My Team 2.0 system, or jump into online competition. A brand‑new multiplayer mode, F1 World, lets squads of friends race together against AI‑controlled drivers, adding a cooperative twist to the traditional racing formula.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 | PS5

The latest entry in the Hunt franchise sharpens its extraction‑shooter formula. Set in corrupted backwaters, players venture solo or with up to two teammates to hunt down monstrous bosses, claim bounties, and extract alive. The game emphasizes risk‑versus‑reward gameplay, where every encounter can tip the balance between a massive payout and a permanent loss of gear and progress.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 | PS5, PS4

Defending the square Earth once again, this installment lets players assemble a four‑person squad from a roster that includes soldiers from the mainline EDF series, spin‑offs, and familiar foes returned as voxel‑styled enemies. The game supports four‑player online co‑op and two‑player local split‑screen on both PS5 and PS4, offering plenty of chaotic, over‑the‑top action.

Last Chance to Add the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for September

PlayStation Plus members have until Monday October 5 to claim September’s offerings: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes. After that date the titles will rotate out of the monthly catalog, so players interested in any of those games should add them to their libraries promptly.

Spider‑Man Brand New Day Avatars – Included for PlayStation Plus

To coincide with the release of Spider‑Man: Brand New Day on Sony Pictures Core (available October 6), limited‑edition avatars are being offered exclusively through the service. PlayStation Plus members can claim the avatars in‑app at no extra cost on the same day, while non‑subscribers must purchase the film on Sony Pictures Core to unlock them. The avatar voucher expires on 6 October 2027.

PlayStation Plus Exclusive HorrorFest Packs

In celebration of the spooky season, PlayStation Plus subscribers can access horror‑themed item bundles for select PS5 and PS4 titles. The current lineup includes:

• Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle – available October 1
• Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack – available October 6
• Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier Skips Pack – available October 7

*Base game must be owned to access pack contents.

Conclusion

October 2025’s PlayStation Plus catalog offers a varied mix of high‑octane racing, tense extraction shooter action, and light‑hearted cooperative combat. With the added incentives of expiring September titles, exclusive Spider‑Man avatars, and Halloween‑themed loot, subscribers have plenty of reasons to keep their consoles powered up throughout the month. As always, regional variations may apply, so players should verify the exact offerings in their local PlayStation Store on the release date.
